Banana Sandwich Bites - 2 ways

These are such delicious little sweet treats you can whip up and keep in the freezer to enjoy when you want!

Takes: 5-10 minutes prep / 1 hour to freeze.

Makes: Approx. 6 banana bites per banana.

Ingredients PB & J:

1 banana

3 fresh raspberries

Approx. 2 tsps peanut butter

9g dark chocolate (optional)

Ingredients Yoghurt & Raspberry:

1 banana

3 fresh raspberries

Approx. 2 tsps thick yoghurt of choice

9g. dark chocolate (optional)

You will need:

A Freezer

Microwave/Stove to melt dark chocolate (optional)

Chopping board, knife, spoon.

 Method:

1. Slice Bananas into coins.

2. Mash raspberries with the back of a fork

3. Spread one side of the coin with either peanut butter or yoghurt (approx. 1/3 tsp).

4. Add a layer of raspberries on top of your peanut butter/yoghurt (approx. 1/3 tsp).

5. Top with another banana coin.

6. Repeat until all banana is used.

7. Optional step: melt your dark chocolate and drizzle over your banana sandwiches.

8. Add to the freezer for 1 hour to set.

Low FODMAP guidance

Banana: It is recommended to consume unripe bananas or <60g of ripe banana. This recipe works just as well when the banana is still firm.

Yoghurts: if you have been advised to avoid lactose, you can try lactofree yoghurts, coconut yoghurts or soya yoghurt (e.g. alpro plain; <125ml).
